Attending Physician – Neurology– Woodhull Medical Center
NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in affiliation with Woodhull Medical Center, is seeking a full-time Attending Physician – Neurology to lead the Neurology Division at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center. Located in the heart of North Brooklyn, Woodhull is a 400-bed Level II Trauma Center and a vital part of the NYC Health + Hospitals network, providing comprehensive care to the diverse communities of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Greenpoint. This is an exciting opportunity for a board-certified neurologist with proven leadership experience to oversee and advance the division’s clinical services, academic programs, and research initiatives. The Director will provide strategic leadership and clinical excellence while mentoring the next generation of neurologists. Position Highlights:
· Lead and manage the Neurology Division, overseeing patient care, inpatient and outpatient services, and subspecialty areas including stroke, epilepsy, and neuromuscular disorders
· Supervise and mentor neurology residents, fellows, and medical students
· Promote a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care with other specialties such as neurosurgery, psychiatry, and rehabilitation medicine
· Foster academic and research opportunities, promoting faculty development, and engaging in clinical research in neurology
· Participate in the continued growth of the division through quality improvement initiatives, program development, and strategic planning
· Engage in continuing education opportunities through NYU Grossman School of Medicine Qualifications:
· Board certification in Neurology
· Completion of a fellowship in Neurology (preferred, but not required)
· Leadership experience in clinical and academic settings
· Commitment to high-quality clinical care, education, and community health
· Eligible for New York State Medical Licensure
· Experience in neurology research, academic leadership, and team collaboration We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
· Annual Base Salary: $315,000-$340,000
· 403B/457 Participation with a 10% employer contribution (no employee match required)
· Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement: $3,000-$3,500, inclusive of one week of paid CME time
· Projected Annual Revenue Sharing payments of up to $30,000 contingent upon meeting productivity and compliance metrics
