This role representstheBTSorganizationas the overall Integration Lead working directly with cross-functional business and BTS teams to execute deal transactions to further grow AbbVies Therapeutic Areas.This roleperformsas the primaryBTSIntegrationLead responsible for planningandexecutingdealsaddressing cross-functional dependencies to achieve AbbVies desired end-state operating modelas we integrate or divest companies.

Responsibilities:

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&As) include multiple types of transactions that require BTSleadership. M&A transactionsinclude:R&D Ventures, Partnerships & Alliances, Co-Promotion, Co-Development, Divesting Products and/or Sites,Plant Acquisitions and Divestitures, andFull Company Acquisitions.

This is a critical role in partnering withbusinessleadership to further define the strategy to evolve BTSs M&A organization,servicesand playbooks for thevarious typesof M&A deals. This will include cross-functional engagement and leadership across the BTS organization and working with AbbVies business leaders, Search and Evaluation, Business Development,andourTransition Office.Responsibilities include:

  • Deal Lead over multiple deal transactions responsible for overallprogram health,financialsand reporting.
  • For each deal,establishthe cross-functional BTS team fully accountable to integrate or divest people, facilities,dataand systems.
  • Workwith the business andBTS functional leadsto clearlydefinebusiness decisions, solution options and recommendations for a given deal based on deal model, size, complexity, risk, and speed to business value.
  • Responsible for escalating and driving risks and issues cross-functionally.
  • Presenting BTS updates to thefunctionSVPs in theExecutiveSteerCo.
  • Continuous improvement projects to drive speed and agility in BTSM&Aservices and capabilities.Identifyand implement AI innovative solutions and capabilities to challenge statusquoandbring value to the business faster.
  • Responsible for compliance with BTSs SLC, Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years experience; Master's Degree with 8 years experience; PhD with 4 years experience.

  • Experience working on mergers, acquisitions and divestiture projects across an enterprise.

  • Experience leading a portfolio of business applications and leading large, complex cross-functional global IT implementations.

  • Skilledinleveraginggenerative and agentic AIto re-image or improve a processor capability.Led and implementedmultipleprojects that drove speed,efficienciesand/or cost savings.

  • Strong Project Management, Executive Stakeholder Engagement, Business Systems Applications and delivering complex cross-functional global programs.

  • MBA/PMP strongly preferred.
